The Marinelite AIS Pilot Plug SY-PLG provides instant and reliable access to a vessel’s AIS data for pilots, surveyors, and maritime professionals. Designed for plug-and-play operation, it allows quick connection between the ship’s AIS pilot port and a laptop or portable pilot unit.
With stable real-time transmission of navigation data such as vessel position, course, and speed, the SY-PLG ensures enhanced situational awareness during pilotage and maneuvering operations.
The Marinelite SY-PLG AIS Pilot Plug is a professional AIS data interface designed to provide direct access to a vessel’s navigation information through the standard AIS pilot plug connection. The device allows marine pilots and navigation personnel to connect their laptops, tablets, or Portable Pilot Units (PPU) to the ship’s AIS system and receive real-time operational data.
The interface supports NMEA 0183 AIS data output, delivering critical navigation information including vessel position, course over ground (COG), speed over ground (SOG), heading, GPS data, and voyage information. This data can be displayed on compatible navigation software such as ECDIS and pilot navigation systems, providing enhanced situational awareness during harbor approach, coastal navigation, and pilotage operations.
Designed with plug-and-play functionality, the SY-PLG connects directly to the ship’s 9-pin AIS pilot plug interface and outputs data via USB to external devices. The unit is powered directly through the USB connection, eliminating the need for external power supplies and simplifying onboard deployment.
The device features marine-grade industrial construction with corrosion-resistant connectors and integrated LED indicators for power and data status. This ensures reliable operation in harsh maritime environments where stable AIS data transmission is critical for safe navigation.
Fully compliant with IMO Resolution A.1106(29) and IEC 61162-2 communication standards, the SY-PLG ensures compatibility with modern bridge equipment and AIS systems installed on commercial vessels worldwide.
