Technical Information

The GN-90 NMEA 0183 GPS Antenna is a high-performance marine positioning sensor designed to provide accurate satellite navigation data for vessels operating in coastal and offshore environments. The antenna integrates a high-sensitivity GNSS receiver capable of tracking signals from GPS, BeiDou, and GLONASS satellite systems, enabling improved positioning accuracy and reliable navigation performance.

By utilizing multiple satellite constellations, the GN-90 ensures faster satellite acquisition and stable positioning even under difficult signal conditions such as heavy weather, coastal structures, or dense maritime traffic areas. The system provides an average positioning accuracy of approximately 2.5 meters, supporting safe and efficient vessel navigation.

The antenna outputs navigation data using the NMEA 0183 communication protocol, allowing seamless integration with various onboard navigation equipment including chartplotters, AIS transponders, radar displays, autopilots, and multifunction navigation systems. It supports multiple NMEA message formats such as GGA, GLL, RMC, VTG, GSA, and GSV, providing essential positioning and navigation data for connected systems.

Designed for marine environments, the GN-90 supports a wide input voltage range of 9–32 VDC and operates with very low power consumption. Its durable waterproof housing allows flexible installation options including mast mounting, surface mounting, or installation under fiberglass decks, making it suitable for a variety of vessel types and bridge configurations.

With configurable NMEA output speeds (4800, 9600, 38400, and 115200 baud), the GN-90 can be easily adapted to different navigation system requirements, ensuring stable data transmission and reliable integration across marine electronics networks.
