Turn your boat into a smart, data‑driven system with SmartEMU — an all‑in‑one engine & sensor converter that delivers engine performance, fluid levels, rudder position and more straight to your NMEA2000 displays, with easy Wi‑Fi setup.
The SmartEMU from LXNAV is a multifunctional engine monitoring and analog‑to‑NMEA2000 gateway designed for comprehensive vessel data integration into your marine electronics network. This versatile unit converts a wide range of analog sensor signals — such as engine RPM, fuel flow, oil pressure, oil and engine temperatures, fluid tank levels and rudder angle — into standardized NMEA2000 digital data, enabling seamless display across compatible chartplotters and instrument systems.
SmartEMU supports up to four fully configurable analog inputs that accept voltage, resistive and 4‑20 mA sensors in accordance with European, ABYC (US) and Asian standards, making it suitable for a broad variety of sensor types onboard. It also includes two configurable tachometer inputs for accurate measurement of engine RPM or fuel flow, and accumulates total engine hours via RPM logging.
Configuration and calibration are simplified through the built‑in Wi‑Fi interface, which you can access via QR code or an LXNAV E‑series display. With support for preset sensor types and onboard calibration tools, SmartEMU makes installation fast and adaptable to different setups. Its sealed housing ensures reliable performance in marine conditions, while its all‑in‑one design replaces multiple dedicated devices, reducing both cost and installation complexity in your vessel’s NMEA2000 network.
