ANSCHUTZ NAVDATA REPEATER

ANSCHUTZ NAVDATA REPEATER

The Nav Data Repeater is a versatile display and converter unit designed to present essential navigation data at a glance. Heading, set heading, speed, and rate-of-turn information are all displayed, and the desired data can be easily selected using the arrow key. Heading changes are visually indicated via a clear bar graph, while the ship’s rate-of-turn is shown in real-time – providing a valuable operational reference.

Technical Information

As a converter, the Nav Data Repeater is particularly useful when integrating new equipment such as AIS, VDR, or autopilots into existing system environments. It converts synchro and step signals from legacy gyrocompasses into serial NMEA telegrams, with synchronization performed directly at the repeater. Speed log data with 200 pulses/nm, including forward and reverse speed status inputs, can also be converted into NMEA telegrams. Users can configure the type of telegram for either bottom or water track. Additionally, NMEA telegrams from older GPS receivers are converted into current NMEA formats, ensuring compatibility with modern navigation systems.
